Menands is a village in the Town of Colonie in Albany County, New York. , the village population was estimated at 4,400. Menands was the name of an early settler in the area. The main north-south local road is Broadway (NYS-32). Menand Road (NYS-378) is the main east-west road and it leads across the Troy-Menands Bridge. The bridge connects the village with the City of Troy across the Hudson River.
